Facing challenges to draw audiences back to the theatre, some private
theatres and drama troupes in HCM City will close temporarily to upgrade
their facilities.
Six historical and legendary plays will be restaged this week by the
IDECAF Drama Troupe in HCM City, as part of Mid-Autumn Festival
celebrations around the city.
The HCM City-based Hong Van Drama Troupe, a leading private theatre, is
offering training courses in performance skills as the number of
talented actors has declined in recent years.
Entertainers from HCM City''s leading drama troupe, the IDECAF Stage, are
preparing for musical dramas this Christmas with two works, Hoang Tu Gau va Hat Dau Than (Bear Prince and Magic Beans) and 12 Ba Mu (Twelve Midwives).
